Nominate a journalist for an award of your choosing!

With everything last year brought to bear, it’s more important than ever to honor the work of journalists in this city. We could also all use some levity and fun — so we're giving you the power to create your own nominees and categories for the Philadelphia News Awards.

There’s no doubt this will be a Zoom meeting to remember. We’ll have a DJ, prizes for the best costume and backgrounds, and more.

The awards can be silly, funny, serious — it’s all up to you. Want to nominate someone? Here’s how it works:

1. Choose a local journalist, name the award you want to give them, and tell us why they deserve it.
2. Create or obtain a small trophy or token that the other journalist will receive. (Be creative!)Or, better yet, make a donation to the P&P in your nominee's honor.
3. On the night of the party, make a brief speech to recognize the awardee and show off your work.
