"The Draft" welcomes BBQ Jawn & Ron's Signature Sauce next Wednesday, Oct. 22: You may have put your grill or smoker away for the season, but Brandon Washington (son of Ron Washington of Ron’s Ribs) and Samuel Rivera (BBQ Jawn) haven't, and they'll be bringing their revival of a Philly barbecue tradition with them to this month's "The Draft" happy hour starting at 7 p.m. And as usual, we'll have another special cocktail/mocktail to pair with the BBQ.
Karaoke will follow at 10 p.m., but we'll have the upstairs open for those who want a break from the cutting edge of vocal creative expression.
Brandon Washington and his brother Colin "Cab" Washington are the sons of Ron Washington, founder of the legendary Ron's Ribs on South Street. They grew up working in the restaurant, a beloved community institution that closed in 2010. The two honor their father's legacy through Ron's Signature Sauce. Samuel Rivera, known as BBQ Jawn, is the trusted chef for Ron's Signature Sauce.
The Draft is our monthly happy hour that's meant to welcome in the P&P-curious (and this time, Q-curious) while bringing together current members. If you've never been, this is a great one to try!
